The IMA provides for the shipments, usage, and wastage tracking of vaccines for public and private providers. The inventory management component allows providers to accurately record both VFC and private vaccine inventories and to assign an appropriate funding source. The inventory and usage functions include: orders, shipments, returns, transfers, usage, wastage, and adjustments.
Manufacturer, Vaccine Lot Number, Vaccine Expiration Date, Funding Source, Dose per Vial, and Unit Price are examples of the data captured for each vaccine.
Bar Code scanning capability for vaccine packages and vials is supported during both vaccine receipt and immunization administration.
Physical inventory count processing and reconciliation reporting are provided. Inventory usage by location for each patient is available for viewing and printing.
